A year after - May 2013

Trying to win against the tick-tick here it comes the May 2013 report that you can compare to the May 2012 report. This is Malta. May is spring here (to southerners) and we are getting better days after a dire but short winter.

Winter is officially over

Reinforcements

One of the loyal hormiguitas viajeras has been in Malta since early April. That allows extra time and the parent on guard at the cross-road took some time to complete and intensive training for 12 days and became PADI Open Water instructor.

And all together while the other parent is fighting for gender based laws to be included in the new constitution we dedicated some time to explore several corners of these truly photogenic islands.

Family reunions

Also there is some all together during the R&R windows.

Few moments but we tried to get the most of them.

Daily Activities

And as last year same month the kid's logic time keeps ticking. The routine of everyday is punctated with gardening, baking cakes and setting up scientific experiments.

Summer already but a fresh May if we talk to Maltese or other expats with more years of experience. The opportunity for scouting and exploring some parts of the islands that in full summer are unbearable and enjoying nice evenings.

Summer season officially open

After a supposedly mild winter, heaters off the last 3 weeks and spotted a couple of geckos, I declare the summer season officially started!

A gecko bathing in the warn midday sun in Exiles bay. Spotted a brown dark one near the house coming out from a drainage pipe 2 days ago.
